Another Successful “Looking up! – Virtual Star Party”

I hope you were able to join us last night for a fun virtual star party.  In case you were unable, you can watch it below

  

 

We were able to see some great images and here is an image of Mars taken by Patrick Crants. 

 

After the live session, we were talking to Patrick about some imaging stuff and found something for him to try out using his camera lens.  Here are his results from several test images he made with sample times of less than 30 minutes for testing.  It looks like the technique worked.  Let us know what you think…

 

Our last collaborative virtual public night, Looking Up with the BAA,  Penn Dixie, the Explore & More Children’s museum, and the Williamsville Space Lab Planetarium was a huge success.  We had ton’s of fun and we hope you were able to join us.  We are looking forward to another one later this month.  For this event a video walk-through of the Beaver Meadow Observatory was created.  We shared this at our monthly meeting and we’d also like to share it here.  This is a link to our Facebook site where you can view this video.
